The American College of the Building Arts (ACBA) is the only U.S. college that fully integrates professional training in traditional building trades with a liberal arts curriculum. Students earn a four-year degree in specializations like Architectural Carpentry, Blacksmithing, Classical Architecture + Design, Plaster, Architectural Stone, and Timber Framing, while developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through general education courses. ACBA’s mission is to train the next generation of artisans and preserve these vital crafts for generations to come.
Barnsley Resort
Situated just 60 miles outside of Atlanta on the site of an 1840s estate, Barnsley Resort is nestled on 3,000 acres in the foothills of Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountains. The 39 free-standing cottages, including 85 guest rooms and suites, were recently reimagined by Charlotte Lucas, known for bold color and whimsical detail. Jules, the signature restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Shaun Doty, debuted in Fall 2025 in a nineteenth-century farmhouse with interiors by David Thompson Studio. With a Jim Fazio-designed 18-hole golf course, sporting clays, pickleball, pools, horseback riding, and more, Barnsley Resort is an all-seasons destination inviting guests to reset to the rhythms of nature and connection.
The Beckwith
South Street Partners and WoodHouse are reimagining Elevation Hotel & Spa into The Beckwith – Crested Butte, the only ski-in, ski-out hotel at the base of the mountain. The multi-phased renovation will update every part of the property, including guest rooms, restaurants, bars, a new arrival experience, the Adventure Lab retail and ski valet space, spa and fitness areas, and meeting rooms. Interiors by FAM Design balance rugged alpine character with relaxed luxury, reflecting the spirit of Crested Butte. Beckwith Residences offer the first ownership opportunity at the mountain’s base, with pricing starting at $1.6M and over half reserved within three months. Renovations begin in early 2026, with completion slated for Winter 26/27.
The Cliffs
The Cliffs is a collection of seven private, luxury residential mountain and lake club communities located in the Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, between two of the nation’s top award-winning cities for quality of life – Greenville, S.C. and Asheville, N.C. – and Clemson, S.C., home to top-ranked Clemson University. The Cliffs’ suite of amenities for club members includes seven clubhouses, seven nationally recognized golf courses, seven wellness centers, multiple tennis and pickleball complexes, first padel courts at a private community in South Carolina, a marina, beach club, and equestrian center, more than a dozen restaurant and private event venues, and over 2,000 year-round programs and social activities to create timeless experiences.
